Designer Spotlight: EveryBody EveryBride
Essense of Australia’s plus-sized bridal collection brings a touch of epic romance to our Michigan bridal boutique.
For years now, Essense of Australia has brought a level of romantic grandeur to the bridal world that never fails to take our breath away. So it’s something of a dream come true for us to be able to spotlight our latest selection of wedding gowns from their plus-sized wedding collection.
We’ve been part of Stella York’s EveryBody EveryBride program for many years, and are thrilled to now expand our selection with the Essense of Australia line. Each year we look for new plus-sized wedding dresses to add to our collection so that brides in our area have fresh, modern designs to choose from. Our ten newest gowns from Essense of Australia are everything we look for in a wedding dress collection: a range of silhouettes, fabrics, and textures, yet still embodying a creative vision that balances modern trends with timeless glamour.
We especially love the care Essense of Australia has put into the design of their EveryBody EveryBride gowns which was evident at our recent trunk show with them. Each gown is constructed to support and flatter, and no silhouette or design feature is off-limits. Whether you’re looking for flowing chiffon or structured satin, detachable sleeves or high slits, we have something to check every box on your wish list. Take a look at the newest arrivals below.
1. Maranda: Boho lace with a flowing skirt.
If you’re looking for a gown that will flatter your figure while leaving you feeling light as a feather, Maranda is for you. Gauzy glitter tulle lends an ethereal quality to this silhouette, while an illusion plunge neckline keeps the design from being too demure. We think this one would be perfect for a summer garden wedding.
2. Vega: Off-the-shoulder elegance.
You can have it both ways with Vega: a sophisticated off-the-shoulder shawl for a touch of grace as you walk down the aisle, and then a strapless scoop neck for when you’re ready to put your hands up on the dance floor. We think the weight of the organdy jacquard fabric would make this an excellent choice for a cool-weather wedding.
3: Veronica: Bold matte lace (and pockets!).
The oversized lace pattern on Veronica on top of the satin fabric gives this gown a brocaded look which pairs perfectly with the simplicity of its classic A-line silhouette. Our favorite detail has got to be the pockets, which tuck neatly into the side seams.
4: Landon: Chic modern draping with a thigh-high slit.
The rich satin of Landon is perfect for the wrapped bodice and deep pleats of the skirt. While the covered buttons add a classic detail to the back, the high slit in the front and cathedral train give this design a daring edge with a dramatic finish.
5: Twyla: Gauzy fairytale bliss.
What can we say: we’re suckers for oversized lace. Layered on top of tulle and organza, Twyla looks positively dreamlike—and with sheer, detachable blouson sleeves, you’ll have plenty of style options for your wedding day. And if those details weren’t enough, don’t miss the visible boning and the covered buttons at the back.
6: Ronan: Alluring from head to toe.
here’s no denying the seductive appeal of Ronan. With Bardot shoulder straps, sheer paneling, and a plunge sweetheart neckline, this gown has “bombshell” written all over it. And if you thought the drama stopped with the figure-hugging silhouette, just wait till you see the long lace train.
7: Alayna: A dream in organza and pearls.
We’re excited to see pearls picking up as a design choice this year, and Alayna is a perfect example of this trend in action. We love how the touch of beading at the bodice is set off by the wrapped organza. The boning showing through the sheer fabric of the top only adds to the airiness of this design, while the thigh-high slit makes this our top choice for a beach wedding.
8: Thea: A graceful chiffon goddess.
e adore the softness and simplicity of Thea. Without embellishments, the light chiffon speaks for itself. The flowing, wrapped design gives this dress an undeniably Grecian look—so if you’ve ever wanted to channel Aphrodite on your wedding day, this one is for you.
9: Collins: When less is more.
Collins is a minimalist design with maximum impact. From the soft crepe to the sheath silhouette, this gown does a lot with a little. We particularly like the side slit paired with the long row of buttons in the back.
10: Mercedes: A ballgown with a twist.
Thigh-high slits are everywhere these days, and we are here for it. But we may like them best on a ball gown, where they balance out the fullness of the skirt and add a touch of flirtiness to a traditional silhouette. Mercedes is a case in point, pairing a chic, fitted top with a flared skirt. What’s not to love?
