It has been a looooong time since our last Bride of the Month, and for that please accept our sincerest apologies! {With summer wedding season in full swing, we are having a hard time keeping up with our blogging!} So, without further ado, let us introduce to you the latest TWD bride, Jamie!
Jamie visited our shop many moons ago and was married last summer to her love, Andrew. In fact, it has been such a long time from when we first met her, when she came back with her friend {a new TWD bride} a few months ago, we found out she had a little bun in the oven! Congratulations to Jamie and Andrew on their soon-to-be new little one…and on their marriage, which we can’t wait to share with you – starting now!
{Meet Jamie…and Andrew!}
Let’s start with the dress – how did you know it was “the one”?
I started tagging all sorts of different dresses right from the beginning. There was a lot of variety in my picks because I wanted to give myself options. I ended up pulling a few “just for fun”…including the one I ended up with. Once I put on my dress, I felt amazing! I loved the way it made me look, and I just didn’t want to take it off or leave the store! And, my mom agreed! I went in thinking I would like something completely different than the one I chose, but it was the one for me!

{Does a ring bearer get more adorable than this?!}
So tell us Jamie, what was your favorite part about wedding planning?
Trying on wedding dresses, of course! I brought my Mom along with me and we had a great time. I was definitely one of those girls who dreamed of her wedding dress since she was a little girl, so it was so much fun to try on the various gowns and find just the right one with my Mom by my side. I also want to add that my wedding dress journey was the least stressful part of planning so that was nice too!

I know it is nearly impossible to narrow this down, but what was your most memorable part of the day?
When I was about to walk down the aisle. I was standing with my Dad and my Step-Dad and I remember seeing everyone stand up and turn toward us…and then I remember seeing Andrew’s face and reaction as he stood at the end of the aisle. He was more of a nervous wreck than I was! It was a sweet moment…and one I will never forget!

Ok, so your favorite part of planning was the wedding dress search – what was the most difficult part of wedding planning for you?
The wedding invitations! There were multiple issues just getting them done properly, and we ended up changing them last minute. It was super stressful at the time, but they turned out great!

Well I guess it is probably time to confess – these photos were taken right across the street from The White Dress! And you know that we TWD-ettes are always on the lookout for our local brides taking photos at the lovely Mill Pond. And we most certainly spotted Jamie, Andrew, and their lovely bridal party that day just before we closed! So, if you thought you saw us up in the window with excited looks on our faces, it’s true – we were!

Well we’ve gotten this far and haven’t even found out – how did you and your Mr. meet?
We originally met way back in high school – we actually went to two different local schools and met through mutual friends. Then we went off our separate ways for college. About 7 years from our original meeting, we ended up running into each other at a local bar and started talking and catching up. Since that fateful night, we have spent nearly every day together!

{Love is sweet.}
If you could relive your wedding day – if only! – what would you have done differently?
I wish we had more time to visit with our guests at the reception. There were just so many tables to get around to and it was so challenging to get around and talk to everyone.
{So cute!}
So if you could give one bit of advice to our future brides, what would it be?
Start wedding planning early! I started early and planning was pretty much a breeze. Of course there are always bumps in the road when wedding planning, but I never had to stress out at the end of the planning process to try and get everything done. This made the final days before my wedding relaxing and – therefore – stress free!

{The dance floor is hoppin’!}
Ok, we have to admit that we are ending with our favorite question – why did you want to become a TWD Bride of the Month?
I loved my wedding and was sad when it was over because I had dreamed about my wedding day my whole life. I love continuing to look over my photos and talking with Andrew about all the memories we made that day. And of course, I love re-living the memory of our wedding day even though it has been months since it has passed now – so being a TWD Bride of the Month is another great way to do it!
{Congratulations Jamie and Andrew!}
