Could we be more in love with the wedding photos from our next Bride of the Month!? {The answer is no.} We think you will also fall in love with the love story of Kristen and Rob – so be prepared to swoon over some gorgeous photos! TWD Owner, Kristy worked with Kristen on her wedding dress journey and she recalls that after she described her wedding dress vision, she had a hunch that the gown Kristen did end up choosing could be a front-runner! Kristen’s wedding gown perfectly suited her and her wedding, and she made the dress look simply perfect! Ok, let’s get this BOTM started! Oh, and before we begin – all the stunning photography below was captured by Carrie House Photography.

{Meet Kristen.}

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

There were so many moments throughout the day that were so special to both me and Rob. We did a wine box ceremony where you write a letter to each other, and during the ceremony you place it into a box with a bottle of wine. On your 5th anniversary, you are to open it and drink together in celebration, but being the procrastinator that I am – it’s not like I was busy planning a wedding or anything – I waited until the morning of the wedding to write mine. I sat on our balcony overlooking our ceremony spot and wrote my letter to my husband-to-be in just a few short hours. I’m so happy that I waited until that morning since all of my emotions from the year of planning seemed to come to a peak and I was in the perfect frame of mind to write all of my hopes and wishes for us as a couple.

Some other great moments were walking down the aisle to ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ played by a great friend and taking a break from pictures where just Rob and I went to the hotel’s pool bar to get our favorite summertime drink, Mojitos! Also, having our one year old Brittany Spaniel, Tanner, join us at the reception was a great memory…we were in a barn after all! But most memorable was celebrating our marriage with all of our friends and family and finally being married to the man I had dreamed of being together with for almost my whole life.

If you could relive your day again, what would you do differently?

I would have made sure that we made it around to all of the tables during dinner to say “hello” and “thank you” to our guests. We were so caught up in the excitement, we only made it around to one side of the tent. Other than that, I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

What advice would you give to future brides?

Enjoy this special time in your life – it really does fly by! Even though there are a lot of decisions to be made (and I am one of the most indecisive people) and moving parts, somehow it all comes together and works out. I would obsess over little details and making sure things were exactly how I thought they should be, but things don’t always work out the way you want and in the end. Then you look back and realize that everything worked out for the best. Take everything in stride and if someone asks if they can help, absolutely take them up on their offer. That’s what friends and family are for!
