We could not be more excited to meet you !

We at TWD like to think we are more than your average bridal shop.  Our goal is to transform your stereotypes about shopping for your wedding dress.  Stuffy bridal store with pushy sales people?  Not at TWD!  We are a fun-loving group of wedding-loving gals who are excited to help each and every bride who steps through our bridal boutique door!  So this is why we designed this one-stop webpage for all you need to know about preparing for your appointment at The White Dress Bridal. Our Step by Step Guide

Step 1Allow yourself to dream!  Think about your everyday style.  How will that transform and translate to your bridal style?   Take the TWD Silhouette Quiz to find out what silhouette may work best for you.  Then, use the TWD Look Book to aid in your dreaming.  We want to make it easy to research what you love!

Step 2 Get some tips from the pros!  If you want not just a good, but a great wedding dress shopping experience, we think this article has a lot of wonderful pointers!

Step 3Now, you are ready to prepare for your visit to TWD!  Please make it a point to fill out our online Pre-Appointment Form prior to your visit to help us get to know you better, especially when it comes to what your vision is for your bridal look and your big day!  Our bridal style experts review this information prior to your visit so they can get on the same page as you and possibly even gather some ideas on which dresses could be perfect for you.  Oh, and filling this out also means that you will get to utilize your entire appointment time for trying on dresses!

Step 4 Get excited for your visit!  Remember, our first priority is to be your bridal style expert!  We are here to help you in any way we can on your wedding dress journey no matter where you are at in your search.  At TWD,  our fresh no-pressure approach is refreshing.  {Or so we’ve been told.} Dots Line - New modern wedding dresses

What should I bring?

Well first and foremost, an open mind!  Remember, it isn’t everyday that you are trying on full-length formal dresses, so you may not know just what suites you.  Here is a list of other items that would be helpful to bring along:

  • A few trusted family members and friends.  If possible, it is helpful to bring along the people who you need with you to make your wedding dress decision should you find “the one”.
  • Photos of dresses that you just love.  Whether they are on your Pinterest wedding dress board, in your wedding binder, or from our very own Look Book.  This will help us get an idea about what you are liking and what silhouettes you are drawn to.
  • Proper undergarments.  A strapless bra is always a good idea.  And keep in mind that while we do try to respect your privacy when trying on gowns, there is a chance we may need to be in the fitting room with you, so choose wisely when determining the proper coverage for your other undergarments.  We do require that underwear be worn for hygienic purposes.
  • Shoes.  It is always a good idea to bring a pair of shoes that you already own that are of a heel height you are considering for your wedding day.  That way you can “test drive” what is like to wear heels with a wedding dress.  {Special side note: Many of our brides end up with either flats or a heel height of less than 3 inches for all day wedding comfort.}

And remember, none of the above are absolutely necessary.  These are just the various items, in our experience, that help out in the average TWD bridal appointment.

Our Confirmation Procedure

Please note that for Saturday appointments, we do require a text, verbal or email confirmation from each client to verify you will be attending your appointment.  We typically call each client on the Wednesday before the Saturday appointment to aid in this process.  So if you get a text or voicemail from a friendly TWD-ette to confirm your Saturday visit, we do need a call back or an email to officially confirm your appointment.  If we do not hear back from our Saturday clients by Friday afternoon, we will make the assumption that the appointment is no longer needed and we will fill the appointment with a client on our waiting list.

In an effort to keep our dresses in the most pristine condition possible, please note that during the winter months and inclement weather, we do ask our guests to remove their shoes before heading out onto the main boutique floor.  We invite our guests to bring their own slippers or fuzzy socks.  We also offer shoe booties if our guests are unable to remove their shoes.  We thank you in advance for your help in keeping our dresses in tip-top condition!
