The White Dress is rolling out a new collection of special occasion dresses for Homecoming. Come try them on!
Fall is here, and that means Homecoming is nearly upon us! As a tradition, homecoming is both an opportunity for alumni to revisit their old stomping grounds, and a chance to build school spirit through big social events such as a prep rally, the homecoming football game, and crowning of the homecoming court. But of course, the big event is the dance.
Unlike prom, which is a formal event mostly for seniors and sometimes juniors, homecoming is for the whole school. It also tends to be a little less formal. The rule of thumb is that prom dresses are long, while homecoming dresses are short. We’ve focused our collection on offering gowns that are a step above what you’d be able to find at the mall, with strappy details and a lot of sparkle. Here’s what you need to know!
No twinsies here!
Matching can be cute, but it hardly feels special to show up to a big event only to find someone else has come wearing the same dress. So, let us lay your anxieties to rest. We only carry one of each of our Homecoming dresses in our store, so you don’t have to worry that you’ll accidentally twin with your ex’s date.
Our homecoming dresses are designer!
When it comes to giving you a much-needed boost in confidence, there’s nothing like a well-made dress. That’s why we’re bringing that couture feel to our homecoming selections with designer labels including Lucci Lu and Alyce Paris. Designer dresses are a cut above what you might find at a larger retail outlet, and include nicer finishing details that help with overall fit.
We have thirty-eight dresses with prices ranging from $100 to $400.
Carrying only one of each dress means that the size that dress comes in is the only size available. However, we have stocked thirty-eight dresses in sizes ranging from 00-18 to offer as much variety as possible. The price point range from $100–400, but we’re also offering 10% off coupons in the store window.
No appointment necessary.
Finally, while we do ask for an appointment for our wedding gowns, homecoming dresses are available to try on at any time during store hours, which are:
Tues: 11 am – 5 pm
Wed & Thurs: 1 pm – 7 pm
Fri & Sat: 11 am – 5 pm
Sun & Mon: Closed

Fitted and flirty.
With spaghetti straps, body-hugging silhouettes, and plenty of beading and sparkle, these dresses will have you stepping out of your comfort zone and onto the dance floor. We think these would match perfectly with a sleek ponytail, Ariana Grande-style. Accessorize with metallics.
Strappy, open backs.
Perhaps the biggest trend this season is the open strappy back. We love how the same design element can work with a range of fabrics and silhouettes! We like the idea of an over-the-shoulder hairstyle to show off the back, and we would definitely match these dresses with strappy heels to finish the look.
Sparkle, sparkle everywhere!
Beading, sequins, and shimmery fabric are hard to escape this year (not that you’d want to!). We think the bright look of these dresses would work especially well with a more dramatic makeup style. Have some fun with graphic eyeliner, glitter eye shadow, or butterfly temporary tattoos, and give yourself a retro look with brightly colored chunky jewelry.
Classic cocktail.
If you favor a more subtle look, never fear. We love the timeless style of a sweetheart neckline or a Bardot off-the-shoulder moment. A classic up-do would pair well with these dresses, as would a statement jewelry look—think chandelier earrings or an heirloom necklace.
Floaty chiffon.
If you prefer a softer style over the glitz and glamour of our other dresses, we’ve got you covered! We love how airy and delicate chiffon looks, and how versatile it is to style. We would recommend loose curls and a “no-makeup makeup” style to finish this off along with ballet flats and a chic clutch.
