Dollywood is coming to TWD during the Country Boots & Beats Festival!
On June 21st, TWD is getting countrified! Join us during the festival to celebrate a fashion icon, philanthropist, and the queen of country music herself, Dolly Parton!
Cowboy boots, Stetsons, fringe, guitars, fiddles, and barbecue; nope, we’re not in Nashville, it’s Brighton’s Country Boots & Beats Festival. On June 21, 2025 TWD is joining the countrified fun as a little slice of Dollywood right here in Michigan. You’ll get a discount for dressing in a country style, and for every purchase at TWD we’re donating to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, her charity that supports literacy by giving free books to children! We can’t wait to put on our boots and welcome our gorgeous brides-to-be into our boutique during the festival.
Here’s the “straight talk” on the details of the event:
- Wear your cowboy boots, Stetson, and/or fringe – “Why’d you come in here lookin’ like that?” To get 10% off your dress order, of course!
- For every purchase, we donate to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library – and “there’s more where that came from” because you can purchase accessories, too!
- Say ‘yes’ to your dress and then head back “downtown” to celebrate!
We’re working 11 to 5 (bless your heart, we’re not going to open early just to match Dolly’s song) that Saturday, so book your visit while we still have openings!
Here are some Dolly Parton inspired dresses that we’re “head over high heels” for! Just like Dolly, these five spectacular gowns celebrate authenticity, glamour, and the art of being unapologetically yourself on your wedding day.
Jurie: “Love is like a Butterfly” (1974)
Channel your inner country goddess with Jurie, an absolutely stunning Lillian West masterpiece. The intricate lace appliqués continue from the bodice to the detachable sheer illusion sleeves with a botanical pattern that’s both romantic and artistic. The fitted silhouette hugs your curves like Dolly’s soft and tender love song, while the dramatic train ensures your grand entrance will be unforgettable. The deep V-neckline adds a touch of sensuality, perfectly balanced by the gown’s elegance. This dress is for the bride who appreciates fine craftsmanship and wants to feel divine.
Perfect for: Formal ceremonies, ballroom receptions, and brides who love vintage-inspired elegance.
Mattie: “Light of A Clear Blue Morning” (1977)
Mattie, a show-stopping gown from Adore by Justin Alexander, is absolutely dripping in crystalline sparkle that ensures you’ll glitter like the radiant bride you are. The gown is made of sheer, flowing tulle with detachable jersey lining, delicate spaghetti straps and a romantic sweetheart neckline. The entire dress, from bodice to hem, is masterpiece of beadwork and sequins that catch and refract glorious twinkling light. This dress embodies Dolly in her golden era — luminous, independent, and on the verge of superstardom.

Oko: “Here You Come Again” (1977)

The clean lines and figure-hugging silhouette with the incredible allover beading create a modern masterpiece that is utterly captivating, making hearts skip a beat with every step down the aisle. The subtle draped neckline and shimmer of hundreds of luminous beads create a luxurious glamour without overwhelming the sophisticated design. This dress is for the bride who embrace’s Dolly’s belief that true beauty comes from confidence and authenticity, that you need to “find out who you are and do it on purpose.”
Perfect for: Modern venues, luxe intimate ceremonies, and anyone who embraces Dolly’s love of allover, intricate beading.
Jenny: “Baby I’m Burnin’” (1978)
Jenny, a playful mini dress by Heirloom Bridal, is pure Dolly energy with its sparkling sequined fabric and dramatic puff sleeves that say “I’m here to celebrate!” The sweetheart bodice with its corset-style detailing creates a figure-flattering silhouette that’s both flirty and sophisticated. The voluminous tulle skirt fans the flames for just the right amount of drama, while the silvery allover sequins keep things bright and fresh. This dress is perfect for the bride who wants to dance the night away without worrying about stepping on her train.
Perfect for: Reception dress changes, courthouse ceremonies, or any bride who wants to party in style.
Calliope, “Wildflowers” (1988)
Calliope is a dreamy, enchanting Lillian West A-line gown that embodies Dolly’s beloved song about mountain wildflowers. The flowing lines and untamed grace of this dress echo the beauty of nature, and, as Dolly can attest, a sheer illusion neckline, lace, and beading are always fashion forward! Calliope features intricately detailed lace bodice with delicate cap sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. The subtle beadwork catches the light beautifully, ensuring you’ll sparkle from every angle like morning dew on petals.
